Google Translator: Form could not be sent
An attempt was made to submit an application form on a customer's website. The website is only provided in the German language. The user wanted to apply via the website, but was only proficient in English. Thus, the user used the Google translator, which can also be used to translate entire websites by entering a URL. The translation of the website worked without problems, but the form could not be submitted.
The problem
At this point, Google Translator translated the website using an iFrame. However, for security reasons, using forms over iFrames was disabled and the server rejected the request.
Possible solutions
- Use Google Translator as browser addon
- Provide form or (sub-)page in second language (if necessary with parameter in URL for single cases)
